Another Hiatus Too Many

Jeez, where to begin.

Lets get caught up to speed. A lot of things happened between October of 2008 and now.

This is my new car.

I went through hell to get it. No lie.

On Friday, October 17th 2008, I was hit head on by someone asleep at the wheel while on my way to work. I was not seriously injured, but the accident totaled the Neon. For a full month and a half, I was mired in insurance paperwork and auto loan debacles that I don't wish on most of my enemies. The end result was me paying off a vehicle that I no longer owned and watching the guy who hit me slap on new fenders and continue like nothing ever happened.

November 17th, one full month to the day of the accident, I bought the Mustang.

It wasn't Jojo's, but its mine.

Moving on, my 15 minutes of fame are over. People Magazine's feature about unusual fears was an entertaining little article that really had no other reason behind mine but to show that I am afraid of balloons. In the interview I had with the reporter, I was told that a portion of people who suffer from globophobia have a slightly altered inner ear that detect air pressures differently than other people. The difference is slightly painful, and the sight of a balloon that might pop gives the inherent fear that it will hurt us when it pops.

Of course, that did not make the article.

But, how many people can say they were featured in a major magazine.

Seeing that its a little late, I think I will retire for now.
